Meet Our Director - Michael Gawthorpe AssocRICS ACABE
I’m Michael Gawthorpe, the founder and principal surveyor at Gawthorpe & Co Surveyors. With over 10 years of experience in surveying, I established Gawthorpe & Co with one clear goal — to offer a genuinely personal service that puts the client first.
Having grown up in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, and now based in Clitheroe, I have a deep understanding of the properties and communities across the regions I serve. From traditional stone built terraces to modern new builds, I bring local knowledge and professional expertise to every inspection I carry out.
Why I Started Gawthorpe & Co Surveyors LTD
I started Gawthorpe & Co because I believed there was a better way to deliver surveying services. Too often, survey reports are generic, full of jargon, and fail to give clients the clear, property specific information they actually need to make informed decisions.
At Gawthorpe & Co, every report I produce is tailored to the individual property — not a tick box exercise. I take the time to properly assess what I find, explain what it means in plain English, and give honest, practical advice on what to do next. My clients deserve nothing less.
My Approach
I am all about the client. From your first enquiry through to the delivery of your report, I am open, approachable and always happy to answer questions. I believe that buying a property is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make, and it’s my job to make sure you have the clearest possible picture of what you’re buying.
